OUR REVIEW ON PLAY MADE SINGAPORE
I recently visited Playmade at 313@Somerset in Singapore, drawn by their reputation for unique, handcrafted pearls. I opted for the Burnt Caramel Milk Tea with Black Sesame Pearls, and it did not disappoint. The burnt caramel added a rich, smoky sweetness to the milk tea, while the black sesame pearls provided a nutty depth and a delightful chewiness. The pearls, made fresh daily without artificial additives, truly set Playmade apart from other bubble tea shops. The staff were courteous and efficient, and despite a moderate crowd, I received my drink promptly. The store’s clean and minimalist design made for a pleasant takeaway experience.
However, I did notice that the prices are slightly higher compared to other bubble tea outlets, with drinks ranging from $5 to $9. Additionally, during peak hours, the outlet can get quite crowded, leading to longer wait times. Despite these minor drawbacks, Playmade’s commitment to quality and innovation in their beverages makes it a worthwhile stop for bubble tea enthusiasts seeking something beyond the ordinary.
