With its warm ambiance and menu that ranges from rich curries to indulgent desserts, The Malayan Council offers an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly unique. In this blog post, we’ll explore The Malayan Council menu, pricing, current promotions, best-selling items, outlet locations, operating hours, and share our honest review.
Dining at The Malayan Council in Singapore was an experience that felt both indulgent and comforting at the same time. The restaurant has a chic yet cozy vibe, with warm lighting and a welcoming atmosphere that made it perfect for a relaxed dinner. I decided to try their famous Roti Kirai with Beef Ribs, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The beef was tender, fall-off-the-bone, and packed with flavor, while the roti kirai was soft and soaked up the rich gravy perfectly. It was a dish that felt like a celebration of traditional Malay flavors with a modern, elevated touch.
What stood out even more was how generous the portions were, making it great for sharing or for those with a big appetite. I also ordered their ondeh-ondeh cake for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending—moist, fragrant, and not overly sweet. The staff were friendly and attentive, always checking in without being intrusive, which added to the overall pleasant experience. Leaving the restaurant, I felt both satisfied and impressed, and I knew right away this is a spot I’d happily return to whenever I’m craving Malay fusion cuisine done right.
