OUR REVIEW ON 49 SEATS SINGAPORE
I recently dined at 49 Seats at The Centrepoint in Orchard, Singapore, and was intrigued by their fusion of Western and Asian flavors. I ordered the Tom Yum Seafood Pasta, a dish that has garnered much attention. The pasta was al dente, coated in a creamy tom yum sauce that balanced tanginess and spice, complemented by fresh prawns and mussels. The portion was generous, making it a satisfying meal. The restaurant’s industrial-chic decor added to the casual dining experience.
However, I found the Creamy Smoked Duck Pasta to be overly salty, which overshadowed the flavors of the smoked duck. Additionally, the Salted Egg Popcorn Chicken was served with the sauce already drizzled on top, causing the chicken to become soggy quickly; requesting the sauce on the side might preserve the dish’s texture better. Despite these minor setbacks, the overall dining experience was pleasant, and I would consider returning to try other offerings on their menu.
